Investment Management
Course Overview
Investment Management is BUFC's second-year track, continuing directly from the Junior Analyst Program with a sharper technical edge. In the fall, Investment Associates build on that foundation with more advanced sensitivity analysis, specialized revenue builds, sector-specific KPIs, and full debt schedules, layering these into a complete three-statement model and football field valuation that culminates in a stock pitch competition, where the top four finalists present to a panel of industry professionals. In the spring, the focus shifts toward investment banking practice: Investment Associates work through a fairness opinion on a live transaction, applying LBO and M&A modeling under the guidance of club seniors who have completed their own IB and PE internships. The goal is not simply to help Investment Associates land those internships, but to equip them with the desk-transferable skills, from Excel fluency to modeling instinct, needed to convert them into full-time return offers.
Annual Stock Pitch Competition
Each Fall, the Investment Management program culminates in our Annual Stock Pitch Competition. In the first round, every Investment Associate presents to the EBoard. From that full field, four finalists are selected to pitch a second time in front of the entire club, Questrom faculty, and a select panel of alumni judges drawn from top equity research shops.
